You can develop pin-point, repeatable accuracy with your own in-built laser guidance system. “My own in built laser?” you might ask. Yes, my friend, it’s called the power of focus and with a little practice you can easily acquire this skill that will make you the envy of the fairway. You’ll enjoy the pleasure of seeing those balls smack your targets just like a laser-guided bomb.
Precision Strokes on The Fairway – Have you ever consistently hit great long range precision shots at the driving range only to find yourself disappointed with lack luster performance on the fairway? Your fall-off in performance is most likely to do with your mental game. With the much less structured environment of the fairway, your brain has many more distractions to contend with. In much the same way as a race car driver recovers from a skid, it is crucial that you withdraw your focus from where you do not want the ball to go, like bunkers and such and focus instead on where you want it to go.
Focus, Focus, Focus – Your brain works to render the dominant image that you hold in your head. If your image is one of not “hitting the bunker”, the bunker is the most likely outcome you will create. Instead, concentrate on where you intend the ball to go at the exclusion of all else. Choose a narrow feature of your target area like a tree branch or a distinctive patch of grass. Visualize the ball landing exactly where you want it. With intent focus and only thoughts of where you want the ball to go, you will produce your desired result. Focus, focus, focus is your key to ensuring the ball goes precisely according to your intention. With this crucial mental factor addressed, let’s take a look in the technique department.
The Chill Factor – You know, if there’s a common ingredient to superior performance in all sports, it’s the relaxation or “chill” factor. Paradoxically relaxation often overcomes brute force. It’s a key a principal underlying martial arts like Aikido and it’s the essence of what football great and recent winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars’, Emmitt Smith calls being in the “zone”. If you’re flexible and you have “give” in you body, you can more easily take effective, clear-headed, responsive action in any given situation. The same holds true for your golf. Cultivate the intention of relaxation over power in your game and focus on striking the golf ball in a relaxed, easy manner. You’ll exert less effort in your swing and you’ll be surprised when the ball travels an equal if not greater distance, then when your intent is on power driving. So chill and enjoy.
Cultivate Your Swing Plane – To achieve repeatable accuracy, you must ensure that your club-head follows a consistent path in the same “swing plane” every time. Think of your swing plane as an inclined disc that envelops the trajectory of your club. Swing planes are as unique as thumb prints. So you’ll need to experiment with your arm positioning to discover the right swing plane that works for you. Move slowly through your downswing and notice how individual adjustments of the different joint angles lead to consistency and comfort. Again, comfort is your key indicator. Remember if it’s not comfortable it’s not right for you.
Align Your Clubface – It might seem obvious but the alignment of your clubface directly dictates the trajectory of your ball. You can maximize control over of your clubface angles by ensuring that your leading wrist is flat with respect to your forearm through your downswing to impact. Don’t be tempted to snap your wrists at the bottom of your swing. It’s a common misconception amongst amateur gofers that the “wrist snap” gives more power. It doesn’t. According to Theodore Jorensen, expert on the physics of golf, this action reduces club head speed. What’s more it screws up your club head alignment. So keep those wrists flat and you’ll enjoy a great foundation for whacking the ball at the proper angle every time.
Laser Guided Precision – Yes, practice these simple strategies and enjoy a wonderful improvement in your accuracy and your scoring. Remember to think David over Goliath and cultivate accuracy over power. Chill out, get in your “zone” and be relaxed in your swing action. Cultivate you unique swing plane for repeatability. Keep your wrist flat for refined control over your clubface alignment. And finally, whack those balls with laser-guided precision when you tie it all together with the simple mental strategy of “Focus, Focus, Focus”.

A golf professional can be called to perform a wide range of tasks in his position at a large complex, or even more so at a smaller, more private course. Having varied duties suits many people just fine, as the job never becomes boring and there’s always something going on. One moment could be working on a human resources issue, followed by an hour or so in the pro shop, after which could be some time out on the green coaching. But many golf professionals turn to freelance work, rather than work on a golf complex payroll, and while both methods of earning a living can be fine, freelancing your skills is where your interpersonal abilities, business smarts and marketing talents will come into play.
Most likely, you’ll be letting word out that you’re available for lessons and coaching, or that you’ll provide private training. Freelancing means you can be self-employed and offer the services to individuals who and when you want to. You set your hours, set your rates and choose your clients. But you do need clients, and you do need enough of them to provide a steady income. Marketing skills will help you draw in people that are interested in learning golf or have expressed enough curiosity that you might be able to get them hooked after a lesson or two. Freelancing means that, to start, you’ll have to work to ensure your own income by finding new venues and clients for selling your skills.
Baby boomers are a great place to start. The group of individuals is usually affluent and has time on their hands to try something new, combined with the search for hobbies and pastimes to let them escape from their years of hard work. Baby boomers are also easy to reach, as they tend to be tempted by new challenges and something that looks relaxing and fun. Senior citizens are another good group for the golf professional to target, as the need to stay in shape and get outdoors is important to them. They can also be reached through the fact that golf is a low-impact sport that doesn’t depend on physical strength as much as others do and the game provides them with healthy exercise such as walking.
Generation X poses challenges for the golf professional. Xers tend to be swayed by fashion and trends, as well as being technological junkies. Golf can provide both those alluring temptations to Generation X individuals, with specialized clothing and footwear, as well as continually developing equipment, but Xers are market savvy and they drive a hard bargain, looking for top quality at a value price level. They are also wise on hype, scorning hidden ploys and prefer bluntness at all times, which makes it difficult to put together a marketing strategy. They are, however, the new wave of golfers and the golf professional needs to understand this generation’s thinking process and habits to draw them in to the golfing industry. Knowing how Xers think and what they respond to is imperative to having them join the golf professional’s client base.
An excellent report written by Marcus Whelan titled “Marketing Golf to Generation X” provides an in-depth look at the particular marketing strategies to avoid or strive for with younger client bases than Baby Boomers and senior citizens. This report is an invaluable tool for the freelance golf professional and the information details many ways to approach not only Xers, but other groups of individuals as well. However, any golf professional that is serious about their career should take the time to read the report and gain insight on the very clientele they depend on to further their career.

The mental game of golf can help to reduce your handicap pretty quickly. Putting is perhaps the biggest part of the game where how you think can make a big difference. Many people develop the putting yips not because they have bad putting mechanics but because they tend to think too much before hitting the ball.
Tip 1: Look and react instead of thinking too much
Sports like soccer and basketball are reaction based and most of the time the players do not have time to think about their mechanics or to even doubt their ability to hit the shot, they simply have to kick the ball or shoot it otherwise it will get stolen. A similar way of thinking in golf might help many amateurs.
You do not need to rush your game before you step over the shot. Instead take your time to pick a proper club or read the green but then once you have made up your mind and stepped up to the ball you need to simply look and react to the target and trust that you will hit a great shot.
Tip 2: Stay in the present
It is easy in the midst of a great round to start totaling up your score and imagining how great it would be if you could keep it going. You need to instead focus on the present and how to best execute the next shot. Try to minimize thoughts of the future and the past. It is difficult to completely block out all future or past thoughts but do your best to focus on hitting the next shot as well as you can.
Tip 3: Do not dwell on missed shots
We all hit bad shots every now and then however the great players are able to learn whatever they can from their poor shots and then simply forget about them and focus completely on the next shot. You need to forgive yourself instead of constantly beating yourself up. It is okay to get a little upset if you hit a bad shot but do not let it last the rest of the round, remember that golf is supposed to be fun.
Tip 4: Manage the course appropriately
One important tip to keep in mind regarding course management is to develop a conservative strategy but an aggressive swing. Most amateurs try to hit shots they have never hit before in the middle of a round. Do not try to be a hero on the course, the pros hit those kinds of shots because they have spent lots of time practicing them and are comfortable with pulling them off with a high percentage rate of success.
Hit shots that you know you can pull off more often than not. If you want to get better then you need to spend more time on the range and practice greens fine tuning your swing and short game, do not try to get a better swing or try new shots you have never successfully hit on the course. Consider some of these golf mental strategies to help you learn how to shoot lower scores fast.

When the sun is shining and the clouds are at bay, many sports enthusiast will smile with glee. After all, sunny weather promises a good day outdoors for sports. At times, the scorching heat from the radiating sun will only add to the intensity of the game and will boost the stamina of sports lovers. On the other hand, have you ever heard of a game that can be played even when it’s raining cats and dogs? Of course not many can name sports that can be played even in a rainstorm.
The majority of sports, especially those carried out outdoors, are largely affected by changes in the weather. The first thing that will feel its impact is the players, who need to be able to adjust accordingly whether it be physically, mentally or emotionally. These are the very factors that would determine the outcome of any game.
Playing golf requires proper training for a golfer to be able to hit a perfect tee while under brooding skies. Weather conditions have a great impact on the levelled surface of the green, as harsh weather can cause havoc to the growth and texture of the grass. This in turn will affect the golfer’s performance. This situation is known as “throwing darts”, as it usually means that the golf ball and the shots are low, which then results in lower points for the golfer.
It is important to realise that the conditions of the green can affect the game of golfers as well as golf course operation. Thus it is vital to have an alternative strategy when you have to play your golf game in bad weather conditions, especially so since golf is dependant on the weather conditions.
The golf greens are more easily maintained when the weather affords low humidity and dryer soil, the main reason why golfers usually play in autumn or in spring. The favourable blue skies and consistent sunny weather as well as the good growth of turf allow a significant time for all golfers to hold their tees.
The roughs when wet can become a lot heavier which in turn make it more difficult for shots to recover. Water ends up between the ball and the club face because of the fewer spins than a normal spin. It is then more probable to cause unwanted consequences after an off-line shot.
This is the reason why an alternate strategy to playing golf is needed when playing in bad weather. A golfer needs to have the ball elevated off the grass as fast as possible at all times. In these kinds of situations also, footprints and marks of the ball are deeper and the sad part is that scores tend to be lower. When this takes place, a golfer needs extra effort to ensure better scores.
Here are some points to remember whenever a golfer plays in wet weather conditions:
- Make sure you keep the grips and your hands dry during a game. Your caddy can bring a towel for you to dry your hands, and another for drying the grips.
- Try to bring a golf bag cover, as this can help keep the grips dry.
- If you and your equipment are dry, you are bound to play better than when you are in an uncomfortable wet condition.
- Be patient when playing in bad conditions and expect that your scores could be higher. There’s no point getting impatient about it, it’s going to make your golf game a lot worse.
- Strategize, strategize and strategize. Before entering the game, visualize winning it. This will help mentally prepare you to face any tough situations that you will face on wet and uneven fairways.
When playing in wet condition, golfers need to have the golf balls to land as close to the hole as possible. This will help lessen the amount of rolls of the golf balls on the wet grass. Also remember that golf balls need to be hit harder to prevent breakage and to stop sooner.
Whenever good sunny skies are non-existent and the weather is not at its best, the most expert of golfers can get through the challenge of playing on a drenched grass field. The rule to remember is that when faced with the most hopeless of situations, a golfer has to keep in mind that his competitors are also faced with such challenges. When you are playing golf while you are soaked the time it takes for you to play your game will be longer as the ball is not able to roll smoothly and go very far. However this can be an advantage for the golfers who drive the tee off longer.
When playing golf, or any other sport for that matter, the weather conditions will affect the nature of the game. On the other hand, a prepared and skilful golfer will not have any problem thinking of ways to ward off the bad effects that the weather might have on his game. With sheer determination to play the best that he can, as well as knowledge on how to outsmart the weather, a golfer will make playing golf a breeze even in the most adverse weather conditions.

How do the obstacles that present themselves on the golf course affect your mind game?

The game of golf involves changing variables that directly influence how a player approaches the game. Although you have control over which equipment you choose to play with or what days you will play, there are so many factors that are beyond your control which will affect the way you perform, as well as your attitude towards the game. Things such as weather, speed of the greens, length of the rough, slope of the fairway, your playing partner and players ahead of you are common variables over which you have no control. These are among the many factors that will affect how you perceive your game for that day, yet are out of your personal control. Variables on the golf course often cause distress in players who do not know how to manage obstacles that are introduced during the game. What is your mental strategy?

The best way to overcome the pressure attached to situations that are out of your control, on the golf course is to first accept that obstacles are part of the game. You can then adjust your mental strategy to deal with any particular situation that may arise. By accepting variables as part of the challenge, you can remove the negativity attached to less than ideal conditions. For instance, when faced with an intimidating water hazard, your first instinct is to fear your ball will end up in the water. Instead of dwelling on your negative past experiences with water on the course, try to view the hazard as a challenge rather than an annoyance. When you can manage to look past the hazard rather than devoting your complete attention to it, you will enhance your ability to focus exclusively on your target. When you learn to control your thoughts, you have a far better chance of controlling the outcome. If your playing partner is having a bad game, the way they react to their poor performance can sometimes affect your game in a negative way. Although you cannot control what kind of game your partner is having, you do have control over how you deal with the situation in your own head so it doesn’t affect your game. Every obstacle on the golf course will have a detrimental affect on your score if you let it get to you. Unfortunately, you don’t have the ability to control external influences, but you do have complete authority over how you perceive these circumstances in your own head. Changing how you perceive challenges will not only lower your score, it will enable you to relax and enjoy your game no matter what is going on around you. Tips

1.	Accept that there are variables on the golf course that are beyond your control.

2.	Playing through variable conditions not only keeps the game challenging, it will improver your skills by introducing you to new situations on the course.

3.	Understand that obstacles are part of the game. Remove the negativity attached to difficult situations and adjust your mental strategy to overcome various circumstances that arise throughout your game.

Do these golf club knock offs play like the real deal? Check out Pinemeadow ZR1 Irons. These Ping clones are great golf clubs and downright cheap.Ping golf clubs are the best and Ping is one of the world’s premier golfing brands. The originals are designed and engineered by Ping Golf. While they are some of the finest golf clubs on the planet, they are not cheap clubs. If you want to find Ping features in a discount golf club, one option is Ping golf club clones. These cheap golf clubs are made by several manufacturers who practically duplicate the Ping engineering features as part of their manufacturing process. While they do not carry the Ping brand, they certainly have the look and feel of Ping golf clubs. While this may be a relatively new phenomena to the golfing world, this is exactly what the Japanese did to the American automobile industry a few decades ago. How many of you who are reading the article on golf club clones own a Japanese car? While many consider clones golf club knock offs, they still perform like the real thing. As the brand manufacturers keep changing and updating their products, so do the golf club clone companies. In 2007, Ping introduced its new line of Rapture golf clubs. The Ping Rapture series driver combines titanium and carbon fibers to create a driver that is long and quite forgiving off the tee. The club head is weighted and balanced to produce a high launch trajectory with minimal spin. The clone golf club manufacturers were not far behind and soon drivers with the same Ping features were selling online and even in some retail outlets. The same strategy used in the Ping Rapture driver held for Ping woods and Ping irons. Ping has upgraded their Ping G5 series to the Ping G10. Great buys are still available for Ping G5 clones. Purchasing a clone of a just discontinued model allows anyone looking for discount golf equipment to save even more money on the older clone models. This is the ultimate in cheap golf equipment. The ZR1 irons golf club clones are now available from our friends at Pinemeadow. They call their Ping iron clones the ZR1. These irons feature an undercut cavity and multi-tier mass replacement system that balances the club weight in the Ping style. You can design your own club by selecting orientation, shaft, length and flex, grip, lie and even shaft orientation. The attractive club design is a beautiful shot preen finish. This golf club clone is perfect for middle and high handicap golfers. The Ping clone golf club fairway woods and irons also have a low weight distribution for a high launch and maximum distance. There are some differences in the engineering and manufacture of these discount golf knock offs. If not, the clone golf club manufacturers would be spending more time in court than on the clone manufacturing floor. While the design and features are basically the same, the materials differ. While the Ping golf club may be titanium and a carbon composite, the ping clones may just have a titanium head. This difference is much more important to the PGA pro of low handicap golfer than to your average weekend player.Ping also has a line of ladies golf clubs and yes, you can most certainly find ladies golf club clones. One can even have custom clones made. This is probably the height of discount golf knock offs.In the day of high energy prices, saving a little money on discount golf equipment may be a good financial strategy. And it probably won’t affect your game.

If you liked this article, you can learn more about ping clone golf clubs and get discounted prices on clone golf clubs by visiting Golf Club Clones

Shooting low golf scores is a great challenge and few people ever learn how to break 80 never mind breaking 70. The mental game can play a big role in helping you to shoot really low scores especially if you already have good swing mechanics and a solid short game. Too many golfers do not have a plan mentally to approach the game and this costs them an unnecessary number of strokes each round. Here are some tips on the mental game that can help you play better golf:
Tip 1: Execute Proper Course Management
Most amateurs are very poor at managing a golf course and try to play the heroic shots that the commentators on television talk about and some of the professionals on tour like to hit from difficult situations. The best approach as far as course management is to have a conservative strategy but an aggressive swing. You need to know what you are capable of doing and play within yourself and only hit the high percentage shots. Do not let what other people in your group are doing influence your decision off the tee. Remember that your main competitor is the golf course itself and your goal is to post the lowest score you are capable of on that day.
Tip 2: Develop a Solid Pre Shot Routine
Having a good pre shot routine will help you to be a more consistent player since it will help to get you physically and mentally prepared for every shot. There are 2 aspects to the routine and they include the mental and physical routine. The mental routine is more important however a consistent physical routine can aid and support the mental routine also. Try to be flexible in your physical routine and allow yourself to take extra practice swings if necessary at times. The key aspect of the mental routine is how you think before you strike the ball.
It is important to clear your mind and focus only on the target when you swing the club. You need to trust that you have trained your swing enough on the range to be able to hit the ball well on the course. If you constantly think about swing mechanics then this will affect your ability to play well especially under pressure. Do not worry if you find your heart racing and even your hand shaking a little during a competition as this is normal and you should even try to enjoy it as it is simply a surge of adrenalin going through your system. Just look and react to your targets and this will allow you to hit the best shots in those situations.
Tip 3: Think Positive
You know you need to do this but most people have a bad habit of dwelling on their bad shots. This can really suck the enjoyment out the game so relax and even laugh a little when you find yourself hitting some bad shots. Remember that golf is a game of mistakes and then recovering from those mistakes as fast as possible. Try some of these golf mental game strategies to help you reduce your handicap faster.

Buying Cheap Complete Golf Sets

Buying a golf set is not only a very daunting task – it can be very expensive as well. It is probably the biggest outlay you will make on your game, with the possible exception of a golf membership.

In this article I’ll look at a few of the best ways you can go about finding yourself a cheap complete golf set.

Where To Find Cheap Complete Golf Sets

The Internet

The internet takes much of the hassle out of buying golf equipment, and finding a cheap golf set is no exception. Before talking about the various options I would make a quick note – even if you buy your golf set online, always make an effort to take it for a test drive first. This can save you wasting your money on a bad buy.

Online Superstores

The online retailers are going to be one of your best options for finding a cheap complete golf set. They have low overheads and buy in bulk so their prices are going to be quite low.

Some of the best retailers include The Golf Warehouse, Rock Bottom Golf, Global Golf, & Edwin Watts Golf. Two things I would recommend you do are

1. Regularly check the closeout/clearance section of the website

2. Use your common sense, do your research, contact the vendor, and be willing to ditch the auction if things don’t seem right.

Component Manufacturers

Buying from component club makers is without a doubt one of my favourite ways to pick up a cheap complete golf set. If you have never considered them before I would say now is as good a time as any.

These manufacturers will make you a set of golf clubs that are custom made to your requirements, they will use quality materials, and they will charge you a fraction of the brand name manufacturers. What more do you want?

Clone Manufacturers

Clone club makers imitate the designs of the big brand equipment. There is a lot of confusion about the quality of clone clubs. Many people are of the belief that all clones are poorly made using inferior materials and should be avoided all together.

I wouldn’t go that far, but I would say you need to do your research. I have a simple strategy I recommend when considering purchasing clone equipment.

Only by from manufacturers who

a) Will custom fit the clubs for you

b) Will give you a trial period where you can use the equipment, and return it for a full refund if you are in any way unhappy.

By finding manufacturers who offer these features, you can guarantee that you are buying from a club maker who believes in their product, and are willing to back that up with their actions.

Buying a cheap complete golf set, does not have to mean sacrificing on quality. By taking your time and assessing all the options available to you, you should have no trouble finding a good sets of clubs that fit within your budget.
